Abstract
The most general form of the nonrelativistic Grad-Shafranov equation descri bing anisotropic pressure effects is formulated within the double adiabatic approximation. It provides the possibility of analyzing quantitatively how anisotropic pressure affects the two-dimensional structure of the ideal ma gnetohydrodynamic flows.
