Cj. Mcmahon et al., Cardiac catheterization in diagnosis and management of congenital heart disease in thoracopagus conjoined twins, CATHET C IN, 51(2), 2000, pp. 159-167
Over the last two decades, surgical separation of thoracopagus conjoined tw
ins has become increasingly feasible. Delineation of the degree of cardiac
involvement is essential to establish the feasibility of surgical separatio
n. We describe our experience of cardiac catheterization both in the diagno
sis and management of nine sets of thoracopagus twins who presented to a si
ngle center over three decades and discuss its role in conjunction with oth
er modern diagnostic modalities. Cathet. Cardiovasc. Intervent. 51: 159-167
