Abstract
1,3-Benzodioxoles, 1,4-benzodioxanes, and 1,5-benzodioxepanes are flavone a nalogs that hydroxylamine recyclizes into derivatives of 5-(2-hydroxyphenyl )isoxazoles. They react with thioderivatives with retention of the pyrone r ing and formation of oximes. Their structures are proven using PMR spectra.
