Abstract
High speed analogue-to-digital conversion using a photonic time-stretch pre processor followed by an electronic digitiser is demonstrated. The preproce ssing increases the effective sampling rate and input bandwidth of the digi tiser. The system exhibits 30Gsample/s sampling rate with 26dB signal-to-no ise ratio over a 4GHz bandwidth.
