Educational evaluation of an environmental technology study programme in Thessaloniki

The present educational evaluation is dedicated to the first year operation of the programme of selective studies on Environmental Technology, which i s established in the frame of the open university education in Greece. The aim of the evaluation is to improve the programme procedure. The directions of the programme are: control of air pollution, liquid wastes and working environment. The evaluation methodology is based on 6 axes and 23 criteria for the axes assessment. The data sources used for the evaluation were: the administration, the students and the professors. The evaluation media were various questionnaires filled by the administration. the students and the professors. The results showed that the quality of studies is satisfactory: four axes present values between 'good' and 'very good'. while two axes sh ould be further improved.
