Objective To report the case history of a patient who underwent bipolar myo
lysis, uterine artery embolization and a transcervical fibroid resection, t
o treat menorrhagia.
Methods The clinical records of the patient were reviewed.
Results The clinical and radiological findings demonstrated large intramura
l fibroids that decreased in size, but were not removed completely followin
g each of the three minimal access procedures.
Conclusion This is the only case reported in the literature of three minima
l access procedures being carried out in one patient to treat symptomatic f
ibroids.
