Abstract
The kinetics, products, and mechanism of thermal decomposition of diph enyldiazomethane (RN2, R = Ph2C) in the presence of oxygen were studie d. Thermolysis is accompanied by chemiluminescence. An emitter of chem iluminescence ((RO)-R-3) forms in the reaction of benzophenone O-oxide (R) over dotO(O) over dot with RN2.
