Abstract
Methods for the preparation of alpha-azidopolynitroalkanes by reaction s of polynitroalkanes or alpha-(difluoroamino)polynitroalkanes with Na N3 were developed. In the case of tetranitroinethaire, one or two nitr o groups can be substituted, depending on the reaction conditions. The reaction of 1,1,1-trinitroethante with NaN3 affords nitro-1,2,3-triaz ole, together with 1-azido-1,1-dinitroethane. The IR spectra of alpha- azidopolynitroalkanes were studied.
