Abstract
For surface-acoustic-wave convolvers, simple ways to reduce spurious signal s caused by re-reflection and direct generation of electromagnetic and acou stic waves in interdigital transducers (IDTs) are suggested and tested in a n experiment. The approach is based on the grounding of the transducer elec trodes and the waveguide and using acoustic expanders that attenuate spurio us echoes from the transducers.
