In the morningside plasma sheet close to the equatorial plane, satellites o
ften observe magnetic field amplitude variations an timescales of several m
inutes (Pc5 range). Here we present an event study which shows that in some
cases these variations can be a result of magnetospheric regions with diff
erent magnetic field amplitudes sloshing back and forth past the satellite.
The sloshing is caused by toroidal Alfven oscillations.
