Iv. Mishin et Hk. Beyer, TUNING THE ACIDIC AND CATALYTIC PROPERTIES OF FAUJASITES BY THERMAL DEALUMINATION, Kinetics and catalysis, 38(3), 1997, pp. 437-443
The composition, acidity, and catalytic activity of Y zeolites decatio
nated by two-stage ion exchange with intermediate heating at 400-700 d
egrees C are studied. An increase in the temperature of thermal treatm
ent is shown to decrease the Al content in the framework and increase
the concentration of strong acid sites and the catalytic activity in c
racking of isooctane and disproportionation of ethylbenzene. A relatio
nship between the framework composition upon thermal treatment and the
Si/Al ratio in the starting samples is found.
