Abstract
The formation of two new association species, hydroperoxy-formic acid and h ydroperoxy-acetic acid, are examined. These species have especially large b inding energies of 12.8 and 18.6 kcal mol(-1), respectively. Because of thi s, the lifetime of the species with respect to thermal decomposition is fou nd to be long. The chemical implications of such new species are discussed.
