The mechanism and sequence of structure transformations accompanying t
he crystallization of amorphous Fe84-xWxB16 (x = 0-5) alloys were stud
ied over a wide temperature range by differential scanning calorimetry
, Mossbauer spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, and thermomagnet
ometry. The effect of small amounts of tungsten on the structure, crys
tallization kinetics, and magnetic and thermodynamic properties of the
phases precipitated was established.
