Abstract
We describe a 60-year-old woman with progressive proximal leg weakness and dystrophic changes of the quadriceps and the adductor muscles on magnetic r esonance imaging. She also suffered from primary hyperparathyroidism. A bio psy of the left deltoid muscle showed vacuoles as an unusual histopathologi cal finding. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
