Abstract
[GRAPHICS] A diastereocontrolled synthesis of (+)-febrifugine, a potent antimalarial p iperidine alkaloid, has been achieved using a chiral block having a bicyclo [3.2.1]octane framework which exhibits inherent convex-face selectivity.
