Abstract
We have measured hyperfine-structure splittings and isotope shifts in the 2 p(3)3s S-5(2)-->2p(3)3p P-5(1,2,3) transitions of atomic oxygen using Doppl er-free saturated absorption spectroscopy near 778 nm. Values for the hyper fine-structure coupling constants of the S-5(2) arid P-5(1,2,3) states in O -17 and the O-18-O-17 and O-18-O-16 isotope shifts of the 2p(3)3s S-5(2)--> 2p(3)3p P-5(1,2,3) transitions were, found. The set of values for hyperfine -structure coupling constants and isotope shifts is more complete and gener ally more precise than previously reported results.
