P. Garces et al., Electropolymerization of phenol on carbon steel and stainless steel electrodes in carbonate aqueous medium, POLYM J, 32(8), 2000, pp. 623-628
Cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry and FTIR-ATR techniques were used to
investigate the phenol electropolymerization on carbon steel and stainless
steel electrodes in carbonate aqueous medium. Phenol electropolymerization
occurs on a passivated surface and the polymer grows to thickness of 0.1 to
0.2 mu m. Polymeric films are adherent and stables under ambient condition
s. The polymeric film maintains aromatic character and contains ether-linke
d rings.
