Polarization correlation coefficients have been measured at RIKEN for the 3
(H) over right arrow e((d) over right arrow:p)He-4 reaction at intermediat
e energies (E-d = 270 MeV). We propose a model for the ((d) over right arro
w, p) reaction mechanism using the pd elastic scattering amplitude, which i
s rigorously determined with a Faddeev calculation and using modern NN forc
es. Our theoretical predictions for the deuteron polarization observables A
(y), A(yy), A(xx) and A(xz) at E-d = 140, 200 and 270 MeV are given. The A,
observables agree qualitatively in shape with the new experimental data fo
r the reaction He-3((d) over right arrow,p)He-4.
