Abstract
A field study investigated students' behavior, interactions and performance s in cooperative learning as a function of teachers' actions in managing gr oup work. 40 lessons of ten teachers were observed and videotaped. The resu lts show that specific teachers' actions can be identified correlating with apriori defined succesful pupils' activities during cooperative learning.
