A review of publications by the authors of this paper is made that cover co
mplexation of porphyrins (H2P) with d-metal chelate salts (ML2) (acetylacet
onates and other beta-diketonates, diphenylcarbazonates, hydroxyquinolinate
s, and dithizonates). Conditions for and general regulations of the reactio
ns H2P + ML2 = MP + 2HL were established and their possible mechanisms were
considered.
