Sf. Marenkin et Va. Morozova, Zinc and cadmium diarsenides single crystals and films: Synthesis and physicochemical properties, RUSS J IN C, 45, 2000, pp. S80-S103
An analysis of work on the synthesis and physicochemical characterization o
f single crystals and films of zinc and cadmium diarsenides is presented. T
he analysis shows that the best quality single crystals were produced by ve
rtical Bridgman technique. The electrophysical properties of these crystals
were studied, as well as precision measurements of their optical transmiss
ion, photoconductivity, short-circuit photocurrent, photoluminescence, and
cathodoluminescence spectra were made. As a result, the energy-band structu
res for ZnAs2 and CdAs2 in the vicinity of the gap minimum were modeled. A
model was advanced to explain the generation of donor levels in CdAs2.
