Conference report - Meform 2000 - Production of strip, sheets and plates

The metal forming conference "Meform 2000" was held in Freiberg/Germany fro m March 30-31, 2000. The event, which focused on the production of strip an d sheet products, was jointly organized by the Metal Forming Institute of t he Technical University of Freiberg and the Acatrain Training Society. The event was attended by more than 130 experts from 5 countries. 26 technical papers provided latest information from the fields of material development, production processes and plant engineering for engineering experts from me tal forming companies, research institutes and universities, The main focal areas of the conference were new developments in steel properties, composi te materials, surface finishing as well as strip and steel processing plant . The conference provided a comprehensive, range of fundamental information , operating results and innovations.
