Abstract
The reactions of Cp2MCl2 (M = Ti or Zr) with hydrazones (H2L) derived from isatin and aromatic acid hydrazides (benzoic, 4-chlorobenzoic, 4-nitrobenzo ic, 4-methoxybenzoic, picolinic, nicotinic and isonicotinic) have been stud ied and complexes of the type [Cp2M(L)] were obtained. Tentative structural conclusions are drawn for the reaction products based upon elemental analy ses, electrical conductance, magnetic moments and spectral (U.V.- Vis., IR, H-1 NMR and C-13 NMR) data.
