Abstract
The paper deals with the coalbed methane gas-bearing characteristics such a s the gas content, theoretical gas saturation, gas concentration and abunda nce, as well as coal reservoir characteristics such as the adsorption, deso rption and permeability of China's coal reservoirs. The paper also introduc es the resources of coalbed methane with a gas content greater than or equa l to 4 m(3)/t and their distribution in China.
