Abstract
We calculate (to first order in the Burgers vector) the energy of introduci ng dislocations into Stranski-Krastanow islands having equilibrium shape. T hese results suggest that misfit dislocations of different Burgers vector t end to segregate spatially within the islands, which may be a source of mos aic structure in films formed by island coalescence.
