Va. Romanova et al., Numerical modeling of the behavior of a relaxing medium with an inhomogeneous structure under dynamic loading, CHEM PHYS R, 18(10-11), 2000, pp. 2191-2203
The behavior of an aluminum alloy mesoscopic volume under conditions of dyn
amic pressurization is modeled numerically with regard for relaxation proce
sses. The data on deformation in plane shock waves is analyzed and compared
with the data on stretching at various rates. The effect of the pressurizi
ng rate and size of structure units on plastic deformation processes that g
ive rise to stress relaxation in a mesoscopic volume is studied.
