We study the equivalence of H-1 and H(curl, div) norms for vector fields sa
tisfying an electric or magnetic boundary condition in an axially symmetric
domain. We present two approaches, one based oil elementary analytic tools
, the other on the results known for the Laplacian. This result, valid for
almost all axisymmetric domains, is used in the numerical resolution of Max
