IT-based quality management of Earth-observation operations at ESRIN

The functions and services provided within the Earth-observation operationa l environment at ESRIN have grown rapidly in recent years. This has resulte d in the need for a rationalised approach providing transparency, optimum u se of human and facility resources, and structured reporting as a basis for sound decision making, planning and resource allocation. Methodologies hav e been developed to improve both the quality and efficiency of the Earth-ob servation operations, with an intranet-based framework to support quality m anagement.
