Abdominal cystic lymphangioma in a woman at 14 weeks' gestation: case report

Lymphangiomas are uncommon benign tumors that most commonly present early i n life, and are even more exceptional in adults. We present a rare case of a 14-week pregnant woman who had a large septated cystic lesion adherent to the ileum. Despite analysis by ultrasound, the c orrect diagnosis was established only via laparotomy and she had surgical r esection of an abdominal lymphangioma.
