Abstract
We present measurements of the surface-height-frequency spectrum for capill ary ripples, exploiting the diffusing light technique developed by Wright e t al. (Phys. Rev. Lett., 76 (1996) 4528). The scaling behavior and cross-ov er phenomenon we observe provide direct support to the weak-turbulence theo ry of surface waves.
