The ISOCAM detector is subjected to transient effects induced by cosmic ray
s, the so-called glitches. This paper is focused on the ISOCAM long wave de
tector. The predicted glitch rates have been re-evaluated by taking into ac
count secondary particles production in the materials surrounding the LW de
tector. We show in this preliminary study that the difference between the p
reviously predicted glitch rate and the observed rate may be explained by s
econdary particles.
