Abstract
Coccidioidomycosis, an infection caused by the fungus Coccidioides immitis, rarely affects the hand, but we report an unusual case which mimicked the radiological appearance of an enchondroma in the metacarpal. Curettage and bone grafting in combination with long-term antifungal therapy are necessar y for successful treatment of coccidioidomycosis of the hand.
