Single crystal Pr1/3Sr2/3FeO3 was synthesized by using thr floating zone me
thod and the rc relation of magnetic properties and charge ordering transit
ion with lattice dynamics was systematically investigated. Mossbauer spectr
a of Pr1/3Sr2/3FeO3 were taken at various temperatures ranging from 20 It t
o room temperature. The charge disproportionation, in which iron with valen
ce stales Fe3+ and Fe5+ was found in a ratio of 2:1, was detected in Pr1/3S
r2/3FeO3 below 190+/-3 Ti. Iron with valence state Fe4+ coexisted in Pr1/3S
r2/3FeO3 at and above 150 ii, and its ratio increased from 13 to 66 % with
increasing temperature. This result means that charge-ordered and -disorder
ed phases co-exist in Pr1/3Sr2/3FeO3.
