Abstract
Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) feature the highest energy conversion effici ency of any type of fuel cell yet developed, This article describes SOFC pr oduction by means of plasma spraying and presents the resulting SOFC perfor mance. The application of plasma spraying to tubular SOFC production has re alized good performance on the order of 40 W or greater in terms of electri city generation per cell stack under standard conditions of 200 mA/cm(2).
