Jas. Kelso, RELATIVE TIMING IN BRAIN AND BEHAVIOR - SOME OBSERVATIONS ABOUT THE GENERALIZED MOTOR PROGRAM AND SELF-ORGANIZED COORDINATION DYNAMICS, Human movement science, 16(4), 1997, pp. 453-460
Recent functional brain imaging studies show that relative tithing is
a key variable capturing the coordination activity of both brain and b
ehavior. Switching among relative timing patterns takes the form of a
critical instability indicating that the underlying neural representat
ion is dynamical and self-organized.
