Abstract
An alloy based on Ni-3(Al, Cr), IC-264, has been isothermally forged in the temperature range 950-1100 degrees C and strain rate range 3 x 10(-4) to 3 .5 x 10(-2) s(-1). Stress-strain curves show flow softening for most forgin g conditions, suggesting dynamic recrystallisation, as does microstructural examination, Deformation modelling has been carried out using a simple con stitutive relationship.
