Abstract
The aim of the research was to gauge the efficiency of Apifos (strips conta ining 60 mg of bromfenvinphose) in fighting varrosa. The highest efficiency , almost 94%, was noted in families of group I, where two strips of Apifos were situated near the feeder, less in group II - strips were placed in the bottom chamber, between cs situated furthest from each other (84.33%). The lowest efficiency was noted in families of group III, where Apifos strips were located nest to one another in the top and bottom chamber (73.87%) and zero efficiency was observed in bee families where strips were placed in t he top chamber between the last and next last frame on the side opposite to the feeder, The efficiency of Apivarol AS against varrosis was high and am ounted almost 90%. The above obtained research results indicate that the level of efficiency a gainst varroatosis is dependent not only on the type of substance used in s trips and its quality, but also strip location.
