Abstract
We report the theoretical performance of a digital switch based on a wide-a ngle, low-loss asymmetric X-junction that we recently proposed ("truncated- structural" branch). Even at a wide full-branching angle of 1.2 degrees, th e crosstalk and (straight-port) transmission at the zero-voltage state are found to be -17 and -0.5 dB, respectively. In the switched state, they are -20.0 and -1.14 dB, respectively. (C) 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
