Abstract
[GRAPHICS] A new strategy for the synthesis of medium-sized bicyclic gamma-alkylideneb utenolides is reported which involves Me3SiOTf-catalyzed cyclization of cyc lic 1,3-bis(trimethylsilyloxy)-1,3-butadienes with oxalyl chloride.
