Abstract
Under hydrothermal conditions, the reaction of vanillic acid with trimethyl tin chloride gives rise to a novel 2D rhombohedral grid, {([Me2Sn(VA)(0.5)] (2)O)(2). 2H(2)O}(n) (1), with a tetraorganodistannoxane as corner unit.
