Abstract
Semiconductor microcavities are studied by resonant single-beam and pump-pr obe experiments. A third transmission peak in the nonperturbative regime is observed, lying spectrally between the two normal modes. Its dependence on the pulse intensity, pump-probe delay, and pulse polarization is discussed . This intriguing effect is caused by intraband correlations induced by qua ntum fluctuations.
