Abstract
We analyze the spontaneous and stimulated optical decay of states with two electron-hole pairs virtually excited by optical pumping. We find that the photon pairs from the spontaneous fission in built. large-gap semiconductor s and in semiconductor microcavities exhibit quantum features which can be observed by coincidence detection.
