Abstract
The stereochemistry of the title compound, C6H6S6, was determined to h ave meso geometry. The molecule has C-i symmetry with a dihedral angle around the disulfide moiety of -64.25(10)degrees, a reduction from th e normal strain-free geometry (ca 90 degrees) of the disulfide.
