St. Roshchenko et al., Magnetoresistive and magnetic properties of multilayer Co/Cu structures with a variable number of bilayers, PHYS MET R, 90(3), 2000, pp. 266-271
Magnetoresistive and magnetic properties of polycrystalline multilayered st
ructures (Co/Cu)(n), with variable number of bilayers deposited on a buffer
Fe layer were investigated. As the number of the bilayers increases to cer
tain values, the growth of the magnetoresistive ratio and the field of the
maximum magnetoresistance is revealed. A comparative analysis of the magnet
ic hysteresis loops and the dependences of the electrical resistance on the
magnitude of the external field was performed. The distinguishing features
of the field dependence of the magnetoresistance were interpreted using th
e model of the magnetization reversal of a multilayered structure with weak
antiferromagnetic interlayer interaction and coercive force increasing wit
h increasing number of layers.
