This article makes an assessment of recent studies which have examined the
question of revealing one's homosexuality during adolescence, The revelatio
n is a process by which the person recognizes his or her homosexual orienta
tion and reveals it to significant others in his or her entourage, For many
adolescents, this actions come up against man, obstacles originating both
in the individual and the entourage : negation, fear of parental reactions,
the hostility, and rejection of his or her pairs. The disclosure of this f
act to parents is quite uncomfortable, particularly in the case of the fath
er. The authors have proposed models of disclosure which allow for the inte
gration of the reality of homosexuality in personal and social life. After
having discussed the differences between bola and girls in the domain of ho
mosexuality during adolescence, the article insists on the necessity, of fi
ghting against prejudices of adolescents by way of information and educatio
n and lists the basic elements which should apply, to an,. therapeutic cont
ract addressed to young homosexuals.
