Abstract
Thaumatoxena darlingtonae Disney sp. n. is described from a female collecte d from a nest of Macrotermes subhyalinus in Malawi; a female of T. andreini i is reported from a nest of M.. subhyalinus; Termitophilomyia brevicollari s is reported from nests of the same Odontotermes species as the host of th e type series. The extraordinary termitophilous genus Thaumatoxena Breddin & Borner was re vised by Disney & Kistner (1992) and a key to the eight known species provi ded. A female collected by JPECD proves to be a new species, which is descr ibed below by RHLD and records of two other termitophilous species from Mal awi are also noted.
