Abstract
Optically active 2,2'-binaphthol (BINOL) derivatives were synthesized with moderate to good enantioselectivity via aerobic oxidative coupling of 2-nap hthols using chiral (NO)Ru(II)salen complex 1 as a catalyst under irradiati on of visible light.
