Abstract
Electromechanical mapping is a new diagnostic tool that can be used to iden tify viable myocardium. In the case reported here, the technique was used b efore intervention to map areas of viable myocardium; post-intervention map ping showed improved mechanical function of the revascularized areas. Elect romechanical mapping offers the potential of assessing left ventricular fun ction in the cardiac catheterization laboratory before and after interventi onal procedures.
