In the present study a method of energy optimization of monopulse arrays wi
th joint beam shaping based on application of the extremal properties of a
ratio of the Hermitian forms is proposed. The ratio of the sum of the signa
l strengths to the sum of the noise strength in each beam in the monopulse
group is used as criterion. It is shown that, using the selected criterion,
it is possible to maximize the signal-to-noise ratio in the combined chann
el of the monopulse array.
