Abstract
Application of genetic algorithms is suggested for reproduction of the obje cts of a training sample in recognition problems. A neural network with ada ptive structure is proposed for construction of the decision rule. It is de monstrated that the proposed approach is more efficient than the ordinary a pproach using as an example recognition of handwritten numerals in the case in which the training sample is insufficient.
